He has a technical education at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, completed a study with the application and practice at the Polish Patent Office, completed with a state examination in 1974, obtaining the title of patent attorney and the right to practice this profession as a profession of public trust. In addition, he completed his two-year postgraduate studies at the Jagiellonian University Department of Intellectual Property Law and many specialized courses, participated in numerous conferences and symposia devoted to the legal and practical aspects of intellectual property law, especially industrial property law. During his studies and after graduation, he worked at technical and managerial positions in construction and manufacturing companies. As a patent attorney he worked continuously from 1974 to 1994 in the form of full-time employment at the Institute of Foundry and Glass and Ceramics Institute in Cracow.

In addition, half-time at the Jagiellonian University, research institutes, companies of different profiles, and also carried out many works on the basis of civil-law contracts. Almost throughout his term of employment he held managerial positions, including in the period 1984-1992 he was the manager of the Center for Inventions and Patent Protection at the Witrocer Glass and Ceramic Industry Association in Warsaw.

Rich professional experience has resulted in more than 50 patents for inventions, and involvement in social work and activity in the inventive movement has been recognized and expressed in many professional, local and state awards. In the years 1985-2001 he was a member of the Appeal Committee acting as second instance in proceedings Disputes before the Polish Patent Office, and in the years 2009 - 2013 he was a member of the Appeal Disciplinary Court of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys. For many years he organized and taught courses on industrial property law, he lectured extensively on courses, conferences and postgraduate studies at Cracow University of Technology. companies. The author also has authored two scripts for the Cracow University of Technology, numerous training and instructional publications, articles in the specialist press and popularisation articles in high-volume, reputable journals.
